Why we built Tomo
Productivity tools keep adding work instead of removing it. We built Tomo as the AI assistant that lives in Telegram — for busy people who already live in chat.
The problem isn't a missing app
The average working adult juggles a calendar, a notes app, a to-do app, a reminders app, a sticky-note app for the things that don't fit, and a group chat for the things that'll never make it into any of them. Every one of those apps is well-designed. None of them know about each other. The cost of keeping life organised has quietly become a part-time job.
We didn't build Tomo because we thought the world needed another app. We built it because we don't.
People already live in chat
Telegram is where life actually happens — family group chats, school updates, deliveries, your doctor's clinic confirming Thursday at 3pm. The friction of leaving that conversation, opening a separate calendar app, typing the event in, picking a reminder, and switching back is exactly why so much of it falls through.
Tomo lives where you already are. You text it the way you'd text a friend who's good at remembering things:
- “Dentist Thursday 3pm.”
- “Remind me to take vitamins every day at 8am.”
- “Save: kids' new piano teacher is Ms. Lee.”
It understands, confirms, and gets out of the way. No new app to install, no new login, no new tab to keep open.
Built for the rhythm of real life
Most productivity tools are built for a focused, uninterrupted workday. Tomo is built for the parent doing school drop-off before a 9am stand-up, the consultant flying between client offices every other week, the small-business owner who runs payroll, ferries their parents to appointments, and remembers everyone's birthday from the same Telegram chat.
We lean on honest, calm defaults: a single global price, timezones that follow you when you travel, and a tone of voice that doesn't feel like it was translated from a startup playbook.
What Tomo actually does
- Schedules and updates your calendar by chat.
- Holds one-time and recurring reminders, and nudges you before they matter.
- Saves notes with light auto-tagging so they're findable later.
- Sends a short morning briefing — weather, today's schedule, the reminders that need you.
- Quietly learns the people, places, and patterns that make up your life, so “remind me to call mum” eventually just works.
Where we are now
Tomo is in early access. We're onboarding gradually because the only way to build a calm assistant is to build it calmly. If that sounds like your kind of tool, start your 7-day free trial.
